

To commemorate Financial Literacy Week 2025, themed “Think Before You Follow, Safeguard Your Money,” Habitat for Humanity Zambia, in partnership with the Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS), has rolled out a series of impactful and educational activities designed to enhance financial awareness and empower communities.
The activities include engaging and informative radio programs, community outreach activities incorporate captivating popular theatre performances that bring financial concepts to life through relatable, real-world scenarios. These performances are tailored to connect with diverse audiences, ensuring inclusivity in financial education. To further encourage critical thinking and healthy discourse, debate competitions targeting secondary schools in Kabwe have been organized, offering pupils an opportunity to engage with key financial themes and develop their analytical skills.
As part of this week’s agenda, the newly launched ZNBS Timange Housing Loan product is also being promoted. Communities in Kabwe, including Kawama, Nakoli, Makululu, and Katondo have been provided with comprehensive information about this innovative housing loan product. Key aspects such as its features, the range of benefits it offers, its flexible repayment terms, and detailed eligibility criteria have been communicated effectively. This initiative not only highlights the loan’s capacity to provide affordable housing solutions but also underscores the importance of making informed financial decisions in accessing credit.
