A sustainable sanitation system must not only protect and promote human health by providing a clean environment and breaking the cycle of diseases but also protect the environmental and natural resource base.
Habitat for Humanity Zambia in partnership with Lukanga Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited and Kabwe Municipal Council conducted a 2-day Feacal Sludge Management training targeting 30 artisan and community leaders to capacitate them with knowledge on safe containment and disposal options.
This is further meant to contribute to the improvement of sanitation in Makululu community of Kabwe District in which the Community Driven Models for WASH Project will construct 80 inclusive and safely managed pour flush toilets targeting 480 Household members.
