This morning, in partnership with Standard Chartered Bank, we handed over three (3) housing units to Agnes Chongo, and the next of kin to Elizabeth Lungu and Elita Mwanza who are now both deceased at an event held in Lusaka’s Bauleni Community graced by the Lusaka Central Member of Parliament and Minister of Justice, Hon Mulambo Haimbe SC. Other notable invited guests included Lusaka Mayor, Her Worship Ms Chilando Chitangala.
The house handover is part of our long-standing partnership with Standard Chartered Bank Women’s Build Project that has supported the construction of decent houses for over 100 female headed households since 2010. As a partnership, we are resolute to complimenting government’s efforts to empower women with secure land and housing in line with the National Housing Policy, the 8th National Development Plan, Zambia’s Vision 2030 and the far-reaching Sustainable Development Goals.
