Yesterday, the dedicated staff of Habitat for Humanity Zambia participated in the provincial commemorative activities held in Kabwe to celebrate Zambia’s remarkable 60th Independence Day. This year’s celebration was themed “60 Years Strong: Honoring Our Heritage, Embracing the Future,” emphasizing both the proud history and the promising future of the nation.
The event was officiated by Central Province Minister, Honorable Mwabashike Nkulukusa, who addressed the gathered crowd with inspiring words about the importance of unity and progress. The day was filled with a vibrant array of activities, including a march past, speeches, traditional songs, and cultural dances that showcased the rich heritage of Zambia.
Among the notable dignitaries in attendance were His Worship the Mayor of Kabwe, Mr. Patrick Chishala, and Central Province Minister, Mr. Milner Mwanakampwe, both of whom contributed to the festivities by sharing their insights and reflections on Zambia’s journey since independence. The atmosphere was one of joy and pride as the province came together to celebrate this significant milestone in the nation’s history.
