Habitat for Humanity Zambia from 21st to 25th August 2023 held an inception meeting of a project titled “Creating Access to Safe Housing: Building Financial Inclusion and Resilience for Women in Zambia”. The project has the objective of women’s poverty reduction and resilience through availability and use of demand-driven, trusted financial services in Lusaka and Central provinces.
The meeting drew participation from international partners and potential local partners such as Habitat for Humanity Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter (TCIS) and Habitat for Humanity Great Britain.
The partners took time to pay courtesy calls on the Mayor of Kabwe, Mr Patrick Chishala and the Kabwe District Administrative Officer, Mr Chris Mugalu who represented the Kabwe District Commissioner. The partners further toured our project sites in Makululu and interacted with some partner families that have benefited from various projects implemented by the organization.
