We are excited to announce that the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and Habitat for Humanity Zambia this morning signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a colorful event held in Lusaka.
The purpose of this MoU is to provide a framework of cooperation within which MLNR and HFHZ will leverage on institutional strengths to promote the universal realization of the right to adequate land and housing through supporting the development and implementation of sustainable affordable land and housing practices and programs.
Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Permanent Secretary Mrs Daphne Chabu expressed happiness over the signing of the MoU and commended Habitat Zambia for complimenting Government efforts in combating housing poverty.
Meanwhile, Habitat for Humanity Zambia National Director, Mrs Mathabo Makuta underscored the importance of formalized partnerships as they provide a structured way of engagement with regard to clear roles and responsibilities from both parties.
