This morning, our National Director, Ms. Mathabo Makuta, made a presentation at a workshop on “Equitable Climate Urban Transitions and Just Futures” organised by the University of Zambia Centre for Urban Research and Planning in collaboration with the African Research Network for Urbanisation and Habitable Cities and the University of Lagos.
The effects of climate change continue being faced globally, and the effects are being felt in urban areas. Residents in informal settlements are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis, and this calls for concerted efforts from governments, development partners, civil society, academia and the private sector.
