Zambia National Building Society Launches Timange Housing Loan Product in Partnership with Habitat for Humanity Zambia

In an endeavor to make homeownership more accessible, Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS), in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Zambia, has unveiled the Timange Housing Loan product. This innovative financial solution is tailored to provide affordable and accessible financing options, bringing the dream of homeownership within reach for many Zambians.

The Timange Housing Loan is part of a larger project titled “Creating Access to Safe Housing.” The initiative employs an integrated approach, addressing both the supply and demand aspects of housing microfinance. On the supply side, the project aims to engage financial sector stakeholders, such as ZNBS, to develop client-centric housing finance products suitable for predominantly low-income individuals.

Dr. Richard Banda, representing the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development, officiated the event. He commended ZNBS for this initiative, highlighting its potential to empower individuals and families by enabling them to build assets, enhance their quality of life, and secure a brighter future.

Habitat for Humanity Africa Area Vice President, Ms. Rudo Kayombo, emphasized that the Timange Housing Loan represents a beacon of hope for many Zambians aspiring to own homes. She praised the product’s potential to transform lives and create lasting, positive change in communities.
